“Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” – Victor Hugo
It’s been said that music is the language of the soul. As a music educator, I have taken this to heart throughout my career as a professional music educator. This site is a brief overview and showcase of my journey so far.
ABOUT JOYCE GOH
Inspiring Others To Give Voice To Their Souls
Music has the power to transport us to another time and place.
As a Music Educator, I love to harness that power with a broad audience of students, fellow music lovers, and passionate musicians alike.
I am passionate about educating students in music and its appreciation based on the Orff-Schulwerk methodology. I have built a strong track record of over 14 years of professional classroom experience educating students from pre-kindergarten and kindergarten; elementary, middle and high school; as well as in volunteer settings.
My work has included complex music and drama productions; music bands and instrumental ensembles; as well as choirs and other vocal ensembles, with over 200 performances consisting of participants ranging from age 4 to age 40!
Throughout my career, I have successfully demonstrated a keen ability to assess students' learning abilities and a strong ability to encourage my students to find their passion in music. I consider myself resourceful and am constantly updating my teaching style to make learning more engaging.
In the course of pursuing my passion, I have also successfully grown my own music teaching practice, from which I have developed a strong foundation in managing business fundamentals.
Sincerely,
Joyce
